Bayferrox® iron oxide yellow have 5 different types: 400+ types, 900+ types, 1420+ types, 3900+ types and 4900+ types. Today, I’ll talk you about 400+ types and 4900+ types.
There are 415 and 420 types for the 400+model. The 420 model has smaller particle size, more oil absorption, and smaller color difference than the 415 type.
There are 6 types of 3900+ models: 3905, 3910, 3910(NB), 3910LV, 3920, 3920(NB). 3900+ types of iron oxide yellow pigments have the characteristics of low oil absorption and high dispersibility, making them suitable for paint and coating industries with higher requirements. Among them, 3910LV is particularly suitable for high concentration paste like systems.
There are 7 types of 4900+ models: 4905, 4905FM, 4910, 4910FM, 4920, 4920FM, 4960. 4905, 4905FM, 4910 and 4910FM are greenish iron oxide yellow pigments. 4960 is reddish iron oxide yellow pigment. The 4900+ models has smaller particle size and lower compacted density than the 3900+ models. Meanwhile, the FM type has a smaller color difference and less residue on the 45 µm sieve.
