Learning Iron Oxide Black
2024 / 07 / 12
I am Otto, learning about pigments. As a benchmark in the pigment industry, Lanxess has always been in a leading position. Today, I will learn about the Lanxess Bayferrox® Black 300+ and 4300+ types. If there are any errors, please help me correct them.
Bayferrox® Black have 2 different types: 300+ type and 4300+ type.
The main model of iron oxide Black is 300+ model. 300+ type have 22 types. In addition, 303T is a manganese ferrite. Among the 300+ model, up to the 340 model, they were all produced using the Laux-process. The 345 type is produced by the Precipitation-process. 340 and above types are all bluish iron oxide black.
Another model is 4300+. There are 2 types of 4300+ model. Comparing the 4330 and 4330/3 types, we can find that their data is the same. This means that it is possible that the two models are only different in terms of usage.
Although the types Bayferrox® Black is less than red and yellow, it’s still important in inorganic pigments.
