Application of Iron Oxide Pigments 3
2024 / 08 / 23
I am Otto, learning about pigments. As a benchmark in the pigment industry, Lanxess has always been in a leading position. Today, I will learn about the application of Lanxess Bayferrox® and Colortherm® series pigments in coloring concrete bricks and stones. If there are any errors, please help me correct them.
The method of making concrete bricks and stones: Mix cement, sand, and aggregate in a certain proportion evenly. Use a blender or mixer truck to thoroughly mix the mixed material, add pigment and stir again, then pour it into a mold and compact it to a certain shape and size. After forming, the concrete bricks are cured to maintain appropriate temperature and humidity, allowing them to fully harden and enhance their strength.
The coloring of concrete bricks and stones generally uses iron oxide pigments, which can be used to make red, black, brown, and yellow concrete bricks. Compared to ordinary bricks and stones, concrete bricks have higher strength and stronger durability, and can be used for high-rise and important buildings.
