Plastic is widely used in outdoor applications, but, most plastic materials exhibit color change when exposed to UV light. Lanxess Bayferrox® and Colortherm® products  have excellent weather resistance and UV resistance, making them the preferred choice for outdoor plastic coloring applications.
 
Lanxess’ high-performance pigments can give artificial turf a rich green color and efficiently dye the track red. In addition, compared to other colored pigments, they have particularly high photostability and weather resistance, ensuring that the product does not fade over a longer lifespan and maintains a high color intensity.
 
In addition, the unique black pigment Bayferrox® 303T can significantly reduce the surface temperature of plastic materials by about 20%. This pigment has a high solar reflectivity, which can reduce the thermal fluctuations of the polymer matrix and extend the service life of the plastic.
